A heat sink is the ideal component for reducing the temperature in compact applications by dissipating heat via convection. This process is referred to as “passive cooling.”
The product range extends from standard heat sinks with side dimensions of 40 to 100 mm to customized special solutions, such as extruded heat sinks with mounting lugs and dimensions of 120 to 800 mm.
Depending on the application, different materials are used – from aluminum to copper. The latter is more expensive, but offers significantly better thermal conductivity.
