The manufacturer SFI has developed new high technology suppressor products - the CSPDs (Chip Surge Protection Devices). They use their high professional multilayer technology to provide higher current products at a small size.
One of the major advantages is that the CSPDs can withstand more overvoltage events without hanging the characteristics considerably.
In most applications our parts can replace smaller Gas Discharge Tubes, varistors, TVS- and Zener diodes. Therefore the CSPDs are the best solution for designs using “old fashioned” circuit & overvoltage protection components.
