Sunlightreadable TFT 3.5" to 8.0"

The excellent optical performance provided by the optical bonding technology as well as the cost advantages of the DBEF / low-reflection technology are remarkable. These modules are available in the sizes of 3.5 to 8.0 inches. Sunlight readability is achieved by two different processes: coating with special polarising material and optical bonding. In general both technologies are used in SGD's production and can be applied for the sizes 3.5 to 8.0 inches. The excellent optical results of the optical bonding technology and the
cost advantages of the DBEF / low-reflection technology are noteworthy. For these modules too SGD guarantees 5 years for workmanship and interface.

DBEF / low-reflection technology:
In connection with an extremely bright SGD back-light the sunlight readability of the TFT modules is improved by the use of a low-reflection polarizer. Furthermore the so-called DBEF back polarizer is used as standard for all ultra high bright TFT modules. As a result of this design, the degree of reflection is reduced significantly.

Optical bonding:
In the case of optical bonding, the TFT is bonded to a protective glass panel or outdoor touch panel by using a special gel. This process is by far the most effective in reducing reflection and is particularly suitable for hundred percent outdoor usage. Furthermore optical bonding prevents dust and condensation between the TFT and the protective glass panel or touch panel respectively.
