Piezoceramic Elements
The piezoceramic element is the heart of every piezo-electric sound generator. In general it consists of a piezoceramic layer, glued together with a flexible metal plate. An alternating electric signal, connected between metal plate and ceramic layer, causes the vibration of the piezo element by means of the piezo effect.
