Infrared receiver modules
Infrared receiver modules are used as a receiver unit for infrared data transmission e.g. for the remote control of TV and audio devices. The infrared signal transmitted by the remote control is modulated with a carrier frequency (typically 38 kHz). The IR receiver module only detects impulses of this carrier frequency and suppresses out-band signals (e.g. from gas discharge or energy saving lamps).
