Transient Voltage Suppressor Diode (TVSD)
Transient Voltage Suppressor Diodes (TVSD) and steering diodes are silicon based protection devices. Due to their very short response time and exact limitation of the voltage they are suited for the protection of semiconductor devices. The low capacitance (up to 0.3pF) of these components also permit the protection of high speed datalines like the Ethernet. Small packages and arrays save PCB space.
